Chapin prepares for new student registration days

Please read the information carefully. As new information becomes available, we will continue to update the website.


ANY RETURNING STUDENTS to Chapin should make sure to complete their online registration process the EPISD.ORG Online Registration Link.

Without the completed online registration, a course schedule cannot be finalized.


On Campus Registration is for: 

a) STUDENTS NEW TO THE DISTRICT, and zoned to attend Chapin High School for the 2016-2017 school year

b) NEW STUDENTS WITH APPROVED TRANFERS (including new Out Of District Magnet students)

c) RETURNING STUDENTS WHO MOVED AND NEED TO PROVIDE A NEW PROOF OF RESIDENCY (because the Parent Portal does not allow you make the changes).


NOTE:  Although NEW STUDENTS to Chapin may have been able to begin the registration process online through EPISD.ORG Online Registration Link, the final registration process and the scheduling of classes will need to take place on campus.

Suggested materials to bring:     

  a) Transfer/Withdrawal records from the previous school

  b) Utility bill/lease of current residence

  c) Appropriate birth and shot records

  d) Valid photo identification for parent/guardian

  e) A book/magazine/newspaper to read while you are in line

Eighth graders ZONED for Chapin are not considered new students and should complete their enrollment online at EPISD.ORG

NEW Eighth and ninth grade OUT OF DISTRICT Magnet transfers, any OUT OF DISTRICT transfers, and NEW TRANSFERS for the 2016-2017 school year can begin to register online but will still need to come to school August 8-12 to finalize schedules.

Late Registration is August 16, 18-19

Senior Interviews are scheduled for August 12 and August 15

Returning students with questions should call the school first prior to arriving on campus because most questions can be answered via phone and internet information.

According to current district information, students and parents who completed registration should be able to see their schedules in the Parent Portal. Students who have a course schedule issue  (i.e. missing period, repeated class) can report to the cafeteria on August 8 to determine a schedule change process. Other schedule changes requests will not be considered.

  • Students who completed their online registration will receive their printed schedules the first day of school through their advisory class. 
  • Advisory teachers and classes will be posted on the library and cafeteria walls for student reference.
  • New id cards will be issued once school begins. The first ID card issued to new students is free. Replacement cards are $5.00. Returning students will trade their old ID card for a new one, or pay the replacement fee.


There is currently a waiting list for Chapin High School and for the Engineering Magnet program. Students within the district requesting to attend Chapin via transfer must complete the appropriate online transfer paperwork and then plan to register at their home schools while waiting for transfer approvals. Students with out-of-district requests can pick up a form on campus.
