Magnet Program Applications Being Accepted Through 27 January 2017

Chapin PLTW Magnet program accepting new applications
Posted on 12/21/2016
Students in 8th and 9th grades who are interested in applying for Chapin's Project Lead The Way magnet program can access applications from:

a) website in the Policy/Downloads folder
b) website
c) middle or high school counselors at an EPISD school

Prospective middle school students need at least an 85 average in core classes (English, social studies, science, & math) for 7th and 8th grades.

Current ninth graders need core class averages from 8th and 9th grades.

All interested students need a recommendation from a math or science teacher who know them best.  All need current test scores from most recent state testing.

Refer to the paper application as a guide for the list of materials required for a complete application.

Students currently enrolled in EPISD can apply online through the Parent Portal.
Students from outside EPISD district should use paper applications available online or at Chapin High School.

Please do NOT complete an online transfer request at this time. Once acceptance letters are sent, students will receive transfer instructions for next year's registration. If you have already submitted a transfer request, it will be denied until final acceptances are made.

For more information, please access the websites, or contact the Magnet Coordinator at 915-236-4417.

We look forward to helping students decide if Chapin is the right fit for them for the next four years.
